I've decided that it's time to change the way I organise my daily routine. I've had a few various strategies over the last year.
My 'lucky dip' housework method worked beautifully, until my gorgeous boy got old enough to stand up at the table where I kept my paper slips and grab them. Very cute, but not very helpful to the organisation process.
I've also had a few timetables, particularly when bubba was small, to ensure that he spent time on all the various activities he was meant to be doing.
Then for a while I used an app called Daily Notes, which was really helpful, however they don't allow you to have fortnightly tasks, and I have lots of these. After waiting over 5 months for an upgrade to include this, I've given up and am embarking on a new timetable.
I spent last night drawing up a grid on A1 paper so I can have all 7 days, with columns for each of us, going from 6 in the morning until 8:30 at night.
Hopefully this will be thorough enough! I'm hoping that having our routines written out will ensure that both hubby and I get some designated down time.
So I'm spending today reflecting on how I spend my time, and what should happen at various times. Wish me luck!
